Andrew and Nick of A Rocket To The Moon helping promote Tom’s Shoes One Day Without Shoes yesterday!

from Andrew Cook of A Rocket To The Moon:
Hey gang!
Today is an exciting day. We’re in Duluth, MN for the first night of tour with Motion City Soundtrack, fun., and Sing it Loud. It’s a beautiful day, and we’re right by the water. All in all, it’s a great way to kick off tour. Getting here wasn’t so easy-breezy though. We ended up blowing our transmission on the drive here from MA, so we had to pick up a rental which we’ll have for the next few days. It’s a big black Sprinter van, and it has a TV and Xbox in it which is pretty fun.
I’m really looking forward to being in Chicago for the next couple days. It’s one of my favorite places to go on tour. We get to hang out with lots of friends and family, and we’re going to the White Sox AND the Bulls game. Pretty stoked!
On the drive here, I finally made Justin watch Zombieland with me, which he loved. I also watched Crazy Heart with Halvo, which was an amazing film. I’m a huge Jeff Bridges fan, and that movie made me love him even more. His performance was really moving, and the soundtrack was well done. If you haven’t seen it yet, go watch it!
I decided today it would be quite fun to learn to play the accordion. So if anyone out there is an experienced player, and wants to teach me, that’d be awesome!
I can’t stop listening to the new Yeasayer album “Odd Blood,” which I may have mentioned before. It you haven’t heard that band yet, check them out. I saw them in Boston right before we left, and they put on a fantastic show, even with the frigid temperatures they were faced with. If you want a preview, check out the songs “The Ambling Alp” and “Love Me Girl.” Hope you like it.
Well, I really hope to make some new friends on this MCS tour, AND I hope to see a lot of familiar faces. Just another reminder, if you want to say hi and ask me questions, hit me up at andrewtothemoon@gmail.com
Much love everyone! Until next time, take ‘er easy.
